Dear Artists and Creative Colleagues,
The Survey of Artists' Space Needs and Preferences is now closed. If you participated in this survey, thank you.
The City of Avondale and Artspace Projects, a national, nonprofit organization, conducted a study of the space needs and preferences of artists and creatively engaged individuals in Avondale, and the surrounding region.
This study will assist in the development of affordable new space in Avondale where artists and creatives of all disciplines may live, work, create, showcase their art, and engage with other artists and the public. This is the second step in a feasibility process, which began in September 2013 when Artspace was invited to explore the potential for an artist live/work creative facility in Historic Avondale’s Creative Arts District. The findings from that visit were positive and the area (see map) continues to expand on the artistic talents throughout the region.
The results of this survey will help project leaders determine the need for creative spaces, inform development decisions, and ensure that new space meets the needs of the region’s creative community, including type and size of spaces, design features, affordability, and amenities.
Thank you for your interest in this important survey!
The results of this survey will help project leaders assess the need for creative spaces, advocate for funding and ensure that new space meets the needs of the region’s creative community, including type and size of spaces, design features, affordability, and amenities.
